Behind her chic micro bangs and big doe eyes, Becky McFalls-Schwartz is a powerhouse. As a protégé of cocktail legend Sasha Petraske of Milk & Honey, she stays so humble for someone who is one of only a handful of women leaders in the cocktail game. At her newest venture, Bar Moga in New York City, she brings her 10 years of experience and love into the menu, fusing American classics with Japanese ingredients and technical preparations for kick-ass libations that warrant more than just a few rounds. Moga, stands for “modern girls” who emerged in 1920s Japan as independent women – they worked, they drank and they sought their own change. This theme rings throughout the bar – from the décor, to bold cocktails that pack a punch and wines exclusively from women vintners. Cheers to disrupting the game, girls!
New York City
It’s such a sensual trade. From the brightness of a piquant daiquiri, to the clack of ice on the bottom of a chilled glass, there’s so much to indulge your senses in!
Cultures don’t exist in a vacuum. What is Asian or western, male or female, new or old is constantly in flux, continually defined and redefined by each other.
The Moga because it’s potent and delicious, and a portion of its sales benefit the ACLU and BCRF.

My husband, Louis. He’s my rock and my best friend.
My favorite fairy tale as a child was The Twelve Dancing Princesses – I will happily dance a night away!
Don’t fear what makes you different. Being on the outside can give you a broader perspective.
